Description
This picture has a different texture from Summer Cherries 1 and 2.
"In the cherry pluckt at night,
With the dew of summer swelling,
There's a juice of pure delight,
Cool, dark, sweet, divinely smelling."
From the poem "Cherry-Time" by Robert Graves.
Cherries are one of North America's only native fruits, although they grow around the world. They are summertime staple for fruit lovers, as they are an unbeatable fruit to enjoy when in season. BC produces 5.5 million kilograms of sweet cherries and 1 million kilograms of sour cherries. This is about 60% of the Canadian cherry crop. The main varieties grown in BC are Bing, Lambert, Van, Lapins and Sweetheart. Newer varieties like Lapins and Sweethearts are late varieties which are receiving high returns in eastern and offshore markets.

Theresa - this is absolutely stunning. Your poem and story of Canada's cherry crops are truly interesting. The poem very much sets off your artistic piece. Lovely texture and colors!
