Description
Two men and a team of dogs struggle to pull their sleigh through a fierce blizzard as the midnight sun slowly dips below the horizon. The fourth image in my "Cold Nights" series.
The midnight sun is a natural phenomenon that occurs as much as 90 km outside the polar circle. The number of days per year with potential midnight sun increases the farther towards either pole one goes.
"There are strange things done in the midnight sun
By the men who moil for gold;
The Arctic trails have their secret tales
That would make your blood run cold."
from "The Creamation of Sam Mcgee" by Robert Service.

I really like this, Ter! I love the texture you have used...it is like looking at the snowy, cold world through a layer of ice! Really cool (pardon the pun!). Wishing you a healthy, happy and creative new year my dear! L/F
