Description
A still life photograph with a vase of Lisianthus flowers in soft black and white. This photograph has an added grainy effect.

"When the leaves rustle, they sound very much like the stealthy movement of a woman in evening dress, and when they shiver suddenly, and fall, and scatter away along the ground, they might be the patter of a woman's hurrying footsteps, and the mark in the gravel the imprint of a high-heeled shoe."Daphne du Maurier, Rebecca)
Lisianthus flowers symbolize an outgoing nature, appreciation and calming thoughts. The gorgeous Lisianthus portrays a deep, heartfelt, romantic desire. This exquisite flower also signifies charisma and congeniality. Lisianthus is also known as Texas Bluebell, Prairie Gentian and Lira de San Pedro. Native to Texas and Mexico, and descended from a North American wildflower, in their single-form variety, Lisianthus may resemble tulips or poppies. In their double form, they can take on the appearance of roses or peonies.

Fantastic, Theresa ... the 'film' grainy effect is as soft as this image; beautiful soft monochrome .. mysterious & romantic {Daphne du Maurier's 'Rebecca' comes to mind} :)))

Thank you, Kindred Spirit. One of my favorite old movies (and book) with Joan Fontaine and Lawrence Olivier. ;-)
