Artist's Description
Underneath the Mt Lolo hang gliding ramp. An old broken down ramp once used by the Kamloops Hang Gliding Club as a launch. The only information I can find about the ramp are these old notes for hang gliders. "Description of Launch: Elevated ramp - big and ugly (picture a steel dinosaur). Questionable if launch is still open.
One or two wire crew are required on soarable days. Not for the faint of heart. An intimidating launch with Big Air.
Works particularly well when the valley is suffering from an inversion. Pay attention here. You can get caught low very quickly and easily.
Description of LZ: Large flat fields east or west of Ashcroft Manor. Sometimes bumpy due to thermals breaking off.
You can also land on top but not at takeoff.
Landing: The designated LZ is northwest of the Ashcroft Manor. You may land behind the manor but ask first.
Beware of thermal turbulence in the LZ.

Thanks, Mark. There is no way I could do it. Official height of the mountain is 5735 feet and I thought the wind was going to blow me over the edge. lol
