Description
I love the way the old glass window in the door lets you see inside just enough to show the window on the far wall. The paint has a nice crackle finish to it too. I this is the original old cabin on a farm in Deadman's Creek before they built the new house.
Deadman's Creek, is a tributary of the Thompson River in the interior of British Columbia. It is about 70 kilometres (43 mi) in length. The river's name dates back to 1817, when Pierre Charette of the North West Company was killed by his travelling companion in a quarrel over the campsite. In 1827 Archibald McDonald, of the Hudson's Bay Company, mapped it as Chivrette River. Other names the river has had include Knife, Dead, Defeant, Rivire du Dfunt, and similar variants. Textures added.

This is a great door, Theresa! ... old, antiquated .. so much texture, so much character ; what stories it would tell us , if only it could speak words .. instead, you have captured some of what it cannot say verbally .. in this outstanding image ;)))

Wonderful image, Theresa. I, too, love the view afforded into the interior, and then how fantastic that you can also see through the window and beyond! Gorgeous texture and patina, too. v & f
