Description
"Ah! What an angel is that I see?" said Titania, opening her eyes and the juice of the little purple flower beginning to take effect: "Are you as wise as you are beautiful?" Quoted from a little old book titled "Tales From Shakespeare" English Authors for School Reading printed by Blackie and Son Ltd. London, Glasgow, Bombay. On the flyleaf is written Kathaleen MacNaughton, September 5, 1924. I picture little Kathaleen buying this book in preparation for school. I am assuming that they started school in September even back then.
Personally, I'm sure I have had the juice of the little purple flower in my eyes more than once. ;-)

Theresa, I love the story that image tells. Old books always hold such mystery in the words and adventures that are contained on their pages and the path that they have taken from one reader to the next. I, too, enjoy discovering inscriptions on the flyleaf from long ago. Nicely composed! Voted and my selection for discussion today in the Female Artists Group. v
